Welcome 2019!

It’s been a busy start to 2019, and it’s been a while since we’ve published a new post. One big project has been a series of walkthroughs for a new apartment building in Washington, DC. The videos are still on progress, but you can see them here on our vimeo page:

The following are some recent work. We’ve had a good mix of project types and rendering styles, including a variety of restaurant retail, residential, multi-family residential, and commercial.

Summer 2018

It’s been a while, we need to return to updating the blog! There are a handful of projects to showcase here, some new and a few that are updates of earlier projects. Often, a project that comes into the office from an architectural firm will go through a design phase where the renderings are used to inform architectural decisions. Once the design is refined, that architect’s client will want a set of renderings with more “life” to them that can then be used for marketing. The first two projects shown were in the office earlier that came back to get populated with “entourage.” The following residential projects are a mix of styles and interior and exterior renderings.

2018 wave!

We’re ramping up for some big projects this year! There is some great work on the boards, and it has already been quite busy with a slate of projects since the new year. Here are a couple projects from the beginning of the year. The restaurant interior renderings are updates from earlier versions I worked on last year. The client is finalizing finishes and lighting fixture selections, so the renderings have been helping them make these decisions. The residential interiors below have actually been going through a similar process, The architect is using these to show the clients how their finish selections and millwork installations will look in the existing spaces.

Goodbye 2017!

While 2017 was a tumultuous year politically in #Charlottesville, I was fortunate to work on many rewarding projects and expand my production capabilities. There were some big advances this past year in the software I use, which along with improved hardware, allowed me to deliver some great work. Besides my 3D modeling and rendering, I continued to work on small architectural commissions throughout the year. I enjoy keeping my work varied, and thank all my clients old and new for a successful year. All the best for 2018! Here are a few projects I finished in the last part of this year.

Concepts for a commercial lease space

A few of the projects I was going to post recently have been going through some redesign, so I keep holding off, waiting so I can post the final renderings. Here is one project that was pretty quick. These are some conceptual interior renderings for a commercial space that is being offered for lease. The space is currently empty, so the real estate agent asked me to show two options for the interior build-out. One option is a offices and event space, the other is a small gym.
